Curated by Fred Hume
Fred Hume has always been interested in history and historical images. A long-time resident of the West End, the past thirty years have seen his hobby of film photography result in the documentation of the colour and texture of Vancouver neighbourhoods including the West End. These images are designed to showcase a measure of the history, intrigue, and whimsy of our unique communities. Many of these neighbourhood photographs have been selected for public exhibitions.
Fred currently is the UBC Athletics historian while engaging in his hobbies of collecting memorabilia, volunteering and pursuing aesthetic “gems” through photography.
