Movie at the Museum: My Best Girl

Join us for a screening of the silent romantic comedy “My Best Girl” from 1927. The screening will take place in the museum’s historic 1890’s parlour space for an intimate and unique setting!
Synopsis: A department store’s stock girl falls in love with a co-worker, the son of the store’s manager; the feeling is mutual though he is engaged to a debutante and focusing on becoming successful without the influence of his father.
Staring Mary Pickford, known as “America’s Sweetheart”, though she was Canadian, and Charles ‘Buddy’ Rogers. The two would marry 10 years after the film in a union which would last 42 years (for the rest of Pickford’s lifetime).
- Ticket holders should arrive no later than 10 minutes prior to showtime to secure seats.

Parking:
Limited street parking is available on Robson and in the West End. Parking spots are scarce in the neighbourhood, so give yourself some extra time or use public transportation. (Closest Skytrain station: Burrard. We are on the #5 Robson bus route).
