Experience an intimate evening of live jazz in Roedde House’s historical Victorian parlour! This November, we are pleased to welcome Dan Pitt (Guitar) and Noah Franche-Nolan (Piano) to our Jazz in the Parlour concert series.
The concert will be from 7 p.m. to 9 p.m., with a 30-minute intermission during which tea and cookies will be available.
$20 for Seniors/RHM Members/Students
$23 for General Admission

Dan Pitt Artist Bio:
Dan Pitt is a guitarist, composer and improviser currently based in Toronto, Canada.
Dan performs regularly throughout Toronto in a variety of music genres and ensembles. He leads his own creative improv group, Dan Pitt Trio, which feature bassist Alex Fournier and drummer Nick Fraser. Their debut CD, “Fundamentally Flawed”, was regarded as “an album that is rich in complexity, original creativity and sophisticated musicianship.” (JazzMusicBlog)
Dan has performed across Canada and in New York City with musicians such as Pat Collins, David Braid, Terry Promane, Andrew Downing, Dave Young, Lina Allemano, Tim Berne, Michael Attias and Michael Formanek. Dan also appears on recordings with Canadian groups including Harrison Vetro’s Northern Ranger, The Hamilton All Star Jazz Band and the University of Toronto 12tet.
Noah Franche-Nolan Artist Bio:
Noah Franche-Nolan is a Canadian pianist, improviser, composer, and arranger based in Vancouver BC.
He leads the Noah Franche-Nolan Trio, with Juno-Nominated Jodi Proznick on bass and Nicholas Bracewell on drums. This band is releasing its debut album on the Cellar Live Record Label on Sept 15, 2023. This band also forms the rhythm section for Indo Jazz Fusion group Raagaverse, led by Shruti Ramani. In addition to being a performer and bandleader, Franche-Nolan is an active composer, having most recently composed the score to NYC film maker Talha Jalal’s documentary “Rite of Passage” and the music for Vancouver-based playwright Shelby Saitterthwaite’s play Light Rapid Transit. He has also recently released two electro-acoustic records on Infidels label in collaboration with Dutch composer/violist Oene van Geel and Canadian composer/guitarist Dan Pitt, titled “Portraits from the Interior World Vol I and II”.
Noah is on Faculty at the Vancouver Symphony Orchestra’s School of Music in the Jazz Department and the Classical Theory and Composition Department.

Seating is limited.
Parking:
Limited street parking is available on Robson and in the West End. Parking spots are scarce in the neighbourhood, so give yourself some extra time or use public transportation. (Closest Skytrain station: Burrard. We are on the #5 Robson bus route).
