- It is Heritage Week 2012 from Feb. 20 to 26!
Join us at Roedde House to (re)discover the beautiful and glorious past of our City, of the West End and of a family, the Roeddes. Discover their path, learn about Vancouver, step back in time with our docents and celebrate with us our rich past and proud heritage!
- On Tuesday 21st, Stuart, our piano player will fill the house with joyful music and seniors get in for free!
- On Thursday 23rd, Kids get in for Free! Children and Adults will be able to discover the art of book-making and book-binding through a short workshop hosted by one of our docents.
- On Friday 24th, it is free admission day (donations are always welcome) and every visitor will get a two for 1 admission to encourage them to come back with a friend and keep the passion and history alive.
- On Sunday 26th, we are celebrating the last day of this wonderful event by throwing a musical Tea and Tour! Come at 1pm for a tour of the house and stay to enjoy tea and cookies, followed by a concert by Jill Knight and Nina Shoroplova from 3pm to 4pm. Admission $12 (for Tour, Tea and Concert). - October 13th, 2011 - The Titanic - A Gala to Remember. Hosted by renown Fashion Historian Ivan Sayers. Roedde House is proud to offer its support to the Original Costume Museum Society. Join them for an enchanting evening comprised of a historical fashion show, dinner and a silent auction at the Hellenic Center, 4500 Arbutus Street, Vancouver. - June 25th, 2011 - An Evening with Anton and Olga Chekhov. Don Mowatt and Carolyn Finlay will be presenting an evening of drama and music by Russian playwright and author Anton Chekhov and his wife, actress Olga Chekhova.
